After we had literally spent the night under a bridge and got woken by heaps of sandflies outside and inside our van we went on further towards the glaciers and had breakfast on the shore of one of the lakes along the way.
When we arrived in the town next to Fox Glacier, Olli and I booked a guided trip over the glacier (Sven was still recovering from the blisters he got on the first day in Abel Tasman). Because we still had some time to kill before our trip started we decided to have a walk around Lake Matherson which is famous for mirroring Mt Cook and the other mountains on clear days. Well, we were not that lucky and the sky was clouded most of the time. It was still a nice walk though.
